Areaware Seconds Dessert Plates by Areaware (Set of 4)
Designed by Jason Miller - The Seconds series challenges the rules surrounding modern day consumer items. Do decorations always need to be centered? Is a whole bird better than a half? These elegant mistakes are artfully and carefully applied.
About Areaware:
Areaware is a New York City based manufacturer of everyday objects that are both functional and unusual. Their goals are to create thoughtful products that inspire an emotional response and to encourage a dialogue between people and their surroundings. They wish to explore design languages as a means of creating new syncretic forms. They like to think that they have a good sense of humor and that their objects are poetic. They aim to create a forum for young and local talent, and together, they hope to become a strong voice for American design. They believe that appreciation for beauty is central to what it means to be alive and want to embody this principle in even the simplest things.
