Matrix centerpiece is made of 21 optical glass blocks, all glued by hand.
Matrix family continues my exploration of architectonic forms applied to the scale of tabletop objects. At first, Matrix appears as a seemingly random group of blocks mysteriously suspended in the air. Closer inspection reveals a rational symmetrical plan, arranged to support a bunch of fruit or to shelter a flame of a votive candle. The composition is based on contrast between the container and the contained, between transparency of crystal and solid materiality of natural things inside. οΎ— Constantin Boym
