Collection: Graypants

Graypants was born from a dumpster. In 2007, Seattle designers Seth Grizzle began salvaging clean corrugated cardboard and laser-cutting it into rings — stacking, gluing, and shaping them into pendant lights that glow with extraordinary warmth and texture. The Scraplights line turned a throwaway material into one of the most original lighting collections in contemporary design. Today, Graypants operates between Seattle and Amsterdam, where their production employs individuals with disabilities as part of a meaningful social program. Every fixture is finished with environmentally friendly flame retardants and celebrates the natural variation in each piece of cardboard. No two Graypants lights are identical. MetropolitanDecor.com carries Graypants as an authorized retailer.
